the area beneath and just below the ribs.
Epigastric region-
the area between the right and left hypochondriac regions or above the stomach.
Umbilical region
eferring to the umbilicus, navel or belly button. This is the center of the abdomen.
Right and left lumbar or lateral regions
the part of the abdomen in the middle on either side of the umbilical region.
Hypogastric, suprapubic, or inguinal areas-
area below the stomach.
Right and left iliac regions
the area encompassing the hipbones.
