Lens
Focuses an image onto the eye's retina.
Pupil
When dark this is large to let more light in, but when bright it is small to let in less light.
Retina
This part of the eye captures the image, like film in a camera.
Optic Nerve
This sends the captured image off to the brain.
Ciliary Muscles
These change the shape of the lens to allow us to focus on objects.
Vitreous humour
The inside of the eye is filled with this black, jelly like substance.
Conjunctiva
What is the name given to the clear covering off the eye?
Iris
This is a coloured ring of muscle that changes the size of the pupil, and therefore, changes the amount of light that enters the eye.
Cornea
This is underneath the conjunctiva and is a clear window that allows light to enter the eye.
Aqueous humour
The space between the cornea and the lens is filled with a watery liquid called what?
Blind Spot
This is the part of the retina where the optic nerve begins...sometimes things disappear?
